Here's the war memorial in Battery Park. Rather than find pigeons there, one finds scads of seagulls. This shot was taken from aboard the docked Liberty Island ferry. You'd never guess that all those tourists have the grey death.

Here's a shot of the North Dock, taken from atop the pedestal of the statue. Castle Clinton (named after an early 19th-century governor of New York) is marked red; it sits in the middle of Battery Park, on the southern tip of Manhattan, and is now the ticketing booth for ferry rides to the Statue and to Ellis Island. (Feeling macho, I entered through the front gates.)

Here's the site of UNATCO HQ. I find it interesting that the site -- a helipad and compound in the game -- is presently a plaza in the middle of which flies the flag of the United States. Sometimes, a thematic points follow on what a narrative omits:
